How Surya Narayana Enterprises LLP ("Helmr", "we") collects and processes personal data in connection with the Helmr service and this website.
Two groups: (a) gym businesses and their staff who use Helmr, and (b) gym members, whose data gyms store in Helmr. For member data, the gym is the data fiduciary deciding purposes; Helmr processes that data on the gym's behalf and instructions.
To provide the service (billing, reminders, attendance, messaging, websites), to provide support, to bill our customers, to secure and improve the service, and to meet legal obligations (including tax invoicing). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use member data for advertising.
Reminders and other messages to members are sent on behalf of, and in the name of, the member's gym over WhatsApp and similar channels, subject to those platforms' terms. Message logs are retained to provide delivery visibility to the gym.
Data is stored with reputed cloud infrastructure providers, encrypted in transit and at rest. Biometric templates are additionally encrypted at the application layer and are never transmitted over unencrypted connections. Access is restricted and logged.
Account and member data is retained while the gym's account is active and for 30 days after cancellation for export, after which it is deleted, except records we must retain by law (e.g., tax invoices). Gyms can delete individual member records — including biometric templates — at any time, and members may exercise their rights through their gym or by contacting us.
Consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data, and may raise grievances at the contact below. Where you are a gym member, we will coordinate with your gym as the data fiduciary.
